Obituary for Gwendolyn Mae Gray

GWENDOLYN MAE (KEMP) GRAY, 91, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday afternoon, May 31, 2018. She was born in Springfield on March 12, 1927, the daughter of the late Charles and Nellie (Worthington) Kemp. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Gwen is survived by four children, Steve Gray (Sue Avery) of Springfield, Tim (Cheryl) Gray of Wapakoneta, Tom (Claudia) Gray of Arizona, and Diane (Patrick) Zinkhon of Powell, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Luther D. Gray in 2012; a daughter, Mary Rose Gray; a son, Patrick Gray; a sister, Alice Walker; and a brother, Charles Kemp. Gwen’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Fr. John MacQuarrie officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.
