Obituary for Evan Lee Blake

EVAN LEE BLAKE, 32, passed away on February 21, 2018 in New Carlisle, Ohio. Born on September 30, 1985 in Ashland, Ohio, he had recently relocated to Dayton, Ohio.

He was a 2003 graduate of the Ashland County West Holmes Career Center, where he studied forestry. He participated in the Student Conservation Association program to clear trails on the Appalachian Trail. He attended Hocking College before taking up a career in retail sales at Fenton Brothers Electric Company in New Philadelphia, Ohio. Evan loved the outdoors and his dog, Xenia. Creative and generous, he enjoyed motorcycle riding and was always there for someone who needed help.

A beloved son to Laurie Blake (nee Coey) and Dennis Blake, he is survived by his parents; sisters, Emma and Gisella Blake; step-mother, Margaret Minick-Blake; and special friend, Chris Swires. His surviving maternal relatives include aunts, Sharon Mills and Sandy Brown; uncle, Joe Coey; nephews, Noah Leppo and Austin Palmer; and cousin, James Mills. His surviving paternal relatives include uncle, Doug (Susan) Blake; aunts, Shirley Bills, Jackie (James) Roach and Nancy Blake; and many cousins. He had many friends in the New Philadelphia area.
