WILLIAM J. “BILL” SIEGEL, 82, of Enon, passed away at Brookdale of Buck Creek on Wednesday morning, February 6, 2019. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 20, 1936, the son of the late William Fred and Ruby L. (Fisher) Geils.
Bill retired from the City of Springfield as a PSC in 1999 and previously retired from the USAF in 1975. He was a Past Master of Yellow Springs Lodge #421 F. & A.M., a PDDGM of 8th Masonic District, 32nd degree Mason AASR Valley of Dayton, and Aldora Chapter 262 OES, Xenia, where he was PP three times.
Bill is survived by his wife of 61 ½ years, Emily A. (Ford) Siegel; daughter, Kristi Hosier of Enon; sons, Scott Siegel of Springfield and Wade (Christine Garramone) Siegel of Plymouth, Michigan; granddaughters, Nicole and Brandi Hosier; and great granddaughters, Miakoda and HannahHosier. Also surviving are brothers, Melvin (Tess) Siegel, Edmund Siegel and Marlon Siegel, and their families, all of California. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his adopted father, Harry M. Siegel.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. A Masonic Service followed by a funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m.
