DIXON, MARILYN JEAN, 83, of Springfield passed away Monday, January 21st at her residence and is now reunited with her husband, David Dixon who passed September 28th, 2011. Marilyn was born April 7th, 1935 in Springfield the daughter of Harley and Gladys (Young) Potts. Marilyn loved to square dance with her husband and enjoyed time with her friends playing cards and dominos. She retired in 1990 from JCPenney’s after 25 years where she worked in the catalog department.
She is survived by a daughter, Diana ( Dan) Mullendore of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sons: Michael Ray Dixon of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Douglas (Cathy) Dixon of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; two grandchildren: Errica (Timothy) Ervin of Springfield and Derek Dixon of Springfield; six great-grandchildren: Robin, Heavyn, Gavin, Kaitlyn, Breanna and Dominic and one great-great grandchild, Jayse. She is preceded in the death by her parents, her husband and a son, David Dixon.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 26th, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Ferncliff Cemetery. The family is being served by LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, Springfield. Online expressions of sympathy may be made through www.littletonandrue.com.
