Obituary for Linda Jean Scholl

Linda Jean (Bartlett) Scholl, 68, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, October 18, 2018. Linda was born in Springfield, Ohio on November 30, 1949 to Fred and Betty (Phillips) Bartlett. She graduated from Northeastern High School in 1968, and from the Community Hospital School of Nursing in 1971 as a Registered Nurse. Linda worked at Community Hospital for nearly 20 years, taking care of the newest and smallest members of the Springfield community in the NICU, and later working as a patient representative with the Risk Management team. Linda adored all babies, and enjoyed running into her NICU babies later in life and recalling that she had given them their first baths and shots. Linda loved being with family and friends, and was happiest when cooking plentiful amounts of food to enjoy with them. She was a strong supporter of Northeastern Schools, and was active in the South Vienna community for many years. She enjoyed traveling, history, crafts, and was a devoted Christian. Linda never missed an opportunity to spend time with her six grandchildren, including sports, school programs, trips to zoos, amusement parks, and parades, family vacations, and any other opportunity to spoil them. Linda leaves a legacy of love to be carried forward by her family, including daughter Amy Scholl and son-in-law Erik Shrewsberry of Loveland, Ohio and son Rob and daughter-in-law Elyse (Gottschang) Scholl of Wichita, Kansas, and the joys of her life, grandchildren Marisa and Nate Scholl of Wichita, and Zane, Damon, Tyson, and Dylan Shrewsberry of Loveland. Linda is also survived by her devoted sister Diane Bartlett, of Huber Heights, brother and sister-in-law Steve and Pam Bartlett of Xenia, and nephews Nick, Andy (Claire Jakabcin), Luke (Helen) and Clint (Katie) Bartlett; niece Kayla (Bobby) Ulrich, and great nephews and nieces Jack, Henry, Rose, Alex, and Jillian Bartlett. Linda was married to Mike Scholl for 42 years, and she shared happy memories over many years with the Scholl family, including Mark and Gloria Scholl, Kathy and Steve Trimmer, Kim and Frank Siebert, nieces Courtney (Jeremy) Griffiths, Katie Scholl, Rachel (Chris) Miller, and Roni (Chris) Nelson and nephew Ryan (Stephanie) Scholl, and many members of the extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents. Linda will be deeply missed by her family, but they suspect she is already busy making a pie for each of them for their next big get-together above. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Northeastern High School Booster Club, 1480 Bowman Road, Springfield, Ohio 45502, or the United Church of South Vienna, 227 E. Main St., South Vienna, Ohio 45369. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, 830 N. Limestone St, Springfield, Ohio 45503. Linda will be remembered during a funeral service on Tuesday, October 23 at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Pastor Scott Griswold officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Burial Park. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.littletonandrue.com
