Obituary for James E. Zeigler

JAMES (JIM) E. ZEIGLER lost his battle with Parkinson’s Disease on January 4, 2019. Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years Patricia; daughter Shirley (Michael) Miller; stepchildren Sally (Tim) Glass, Tom (Kathy) Kelly, Jim (Debbie) Kelly; 11 grandchildren (Stephen Miller, Rebecca Jones, Natasha Luster-George, Randi Daoud, Ric Glass, Ryan Glass, Jammie Kelly, Nick Kelly, Andy Kelly, Archie Murden, and Chad Murden, and 5 great grandchildren. Jim was born on July 3, 1937 in Urbana, Ohio. He graduated from Springfield High in 1955. Jim served in the Army for two years and the Reserves for two years. He retired from Navistar after working in the press room for 36½ years. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Clarence and Helen (Ropp) Zeigler and his only sister, Doris McEnaney, and her husband John. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Kindred Hospice of Dayton. Special thank you to Cathy Trimmer (hospice) as well as the nurses, aides and staff of Forest Glen. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Friday, January 11. 2019 at 11 am in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Chaplain Randy Reed officiating.
