Dorothy Arlene Wissinger, 82, of Springfield, Ohio and formerly of Boardman, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 in the Springfield Masonic Community. She was born March 23, 1930 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence and Ethel (Smeltzer) Seymour.
She enjoyed singing in the Women's Barbershop Group "Sweet Adelines" for many years.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Wayne Sears of Vermont; sister, Eleanor Burnett of Springfield; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren and two nieces, Joan Marbais and Jane Bernard. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of sixty years, Benton H. Wissinger Jr.; one son, Benton Wissinger III.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the church with Pastor Ash Welch officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lake Park Cemetery.
