Earl Lloyd Pelfrey, 79, of Springfield, passed away at home in the presence of his family on Thursday, December 1, 2011. He was born on August 15, 1932 in Hazard, Kentucky the son of Charles and Bell (Spencer) Pelfrey.
He served our country in the United States Army. Earl worked in the roofing business, Pelfrey United Roofing with his son Fred. He also previously owned Westside Fence Company and worked in the Steel Products Industry.
He is survived by his wife Regenia (Stambaugh) Pelfrey of forty-eight years, two daughters, Tina M. Powers (Greg Wallace) of Springfield and Susan (Gary) Miloradovich of Lake Jackson, Texas; one son, Fred S. (Jeanie) Pelfrey of Springfield, one brother: Martin (Anneliese) Pelfrey of Springfield, three grandsons, four granddaughters, seven great grandchildren, and one soon to be born. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos, Harlon, L.D., Ray, and James; two sisters: Helen and Leann.
Services to remember and honor his life will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, with Pastor Ray Cain officiating. Friends may call from 5-7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
