Obituary for Wanda M. Tackett

WANDA M. TACKETT, 71, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, January 11, 2018, following an illness. She was born on December 17, 1946 in Vinton County, Ohio. She was a member of Home Rd Church of Christ in Christian Union where she taught Sunday School for many years. Wanda worked at Olan Mills for 18 years and Community Hospital in Springfield for six years. She enjoyed fishing, camping, horseback riding and was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan.

She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband who was her best friend of 45 years, Roger R. Tackett; mother, Leslie Beatice Law and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, George S. Law and one sister, Ida Jane Jenks.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 12 pm to 1 pm in the Home Rd Church of Christ in Christian Union, 2560 Home Rd., Springfield. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm in the church with Rev. Nathan Carey officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
