Obituary for Sharon M. Hayes

Sharon (Morehart) Hayes, 76, of Springfield, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 26, 2018. There she joined her beloved husband John. Besides John, she was preceded in death by her parents: Clark and Mary Jane Morehart; father and mother-in-law, Carroll and Edna Hayes; sister-in-law, Gloria J. Hayes; son-in-law, Alan Huffman; and brother-in-law, David Hayes. Sharon is survived by three daughters: Michele (Tom) Murphy, Nicole Huffman, and Simone (David) McDuffie; six grandchildren: Jennifer (Stephen) Garrett, Lindsee (Justin) Adams, Jonathan (Emily) McDuffie, Branden McDuffie, Molly and Meghan Murphy; two great granddaughters: Kohlie Grace Garrett and Harper Hayes McDuffie, one brother-in-law, James C. Hayes of Springfield, two sisters-in-law: Marilyn (Harry) Schetter of Springfield, and Lynda (Dr. William) Carver of Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews. Sharon graduated from City Hospital School of Nursing, Springfield, Ohio. She enjoyed family time and gatherings. She loved being John’s “Darlin’”, the mother of the “Hayes girls,” and her grandchildren and great granddaughters. Many hours were spent in Georgia on the front porch, enjoying the mountains that John loved so much; beautiful scenery that only God could create and paint. After cremation, Sharon’s wishes were for private family services with scattering in the mountains. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Leukemia Association or the American Lung Association. You may express condolences at www.littletonandrue.com
