Obituary for Pamela` R. Childress

PAMELA RENEE CHILDRESS, 33, of Springfield passed away Friday, July 28, 2017. She was born January 31, 1984 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, Virginia. Pamela will always be remembered for her contagious laughter and her free giving spirit. She loved animals and her job at Our Hero Subs. Most of all, she loved her children, her mother and the only father she ever had, her grandfather, Harold Rowland. She always knew that he would never give up on her.

She was preceded in death by her loving grandmother, Lorena M. Rowland. Survivors include her mother, Deborah A. Childress; two brothers, Jeffrey Childress and Brian Lannon, who always supported their sister through all of her challenges. She is also survived by her four beautiful children, Samuel “Sammy”, Minka, Vinny Childress and Elijah Rowland; three uncles and many cousins. A very special thanks to Angie Pelfrey and all who supported Pamela at “The Freedom Hall Recovery Center.”

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 1-2 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. A celebration of Pamela’s life will begin at 2 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Willis Adams officiating.
