Obituary for Lowell N. Myers

Lowell N. Myers, 85, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Villa of Springfield. He was born on December 1, 1932, in Lawrence County, Ohio the son of the late Stacey H. and Gertrude E. (Harrison) Myers. He served our country in the United States Army in the Korean War, 5th Armored Division, 3th Infantry. Lowell was owner/operator of Myers Marathon. In his early years he played semi-professional baseball. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and a diehard Browns fan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Norma Jean Myers in 2014. He is survived by his daughters: Lehan (Rick) Peters, and Sheila Christian; one son, Kenneth Myers, six grandchildren: Heather (Michael), Colin Michael, Amanda (Brent), Andrew, Zach and Megan; great grandchildren: JJ, Mia, Conner, Jackson and Anderson; one sister, Ruby Fannon, two brothers: Rodney (Maureen) Myers, and Stacy (Linda) Myers; special niece Carol Jo (Steve) Worley, and his many beloved nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Verda Grindle and Agnes Ogden. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held from 6-7:00 p.m. to the service. Private burial will be in the Dayton VA Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
