Obituary for Elizabeth Ann Goodin-Green

Elizabeth Ann Goodin-Green departed this life on February 27th, 2018, as she passed away peacefully in her home in London, Ohio. She was born in Troy, Ohio on August 16th, 1947 to the late Roscoe J. Goodin and Irene Haaga Goodin.

Elizabeth is survived by her three children, Michael Brad, Matthew Blake, and Melissa Beth Ostendorf, as well as her beautiful and eternally loved granddaughters, Mikayla Lauren and Sofia Evyania Ostendorf. Liz lived her life in total devotion to her family. She enjoyed all the years of their academics, sports, employment, and all the friends they brought into their lives. Also surviving Liz, is her husband Michael L. Green, whom she married in 2002. Michael introduced his four wonderful children, their spouses, and eight of the best little grandkids into their marriage: Timothy and Tracy Green and their daughter Tayla. Thomas and Katricia Green and their children Connor and Kylee. Jason and Selma Green and their children Daniel, Adam, and Sara. Jeff and Elizabeth Guyton and their children Ella and Charlie. Liz enjoyed loving and caring for his family like her own. Also surviving Liz is her beloved brother, David A. Goodin, his wife Marjorie, niece Tracy, nephews Ben and Dan, and their families. She also deeply loved special persons to the family; Lisa Pecora, Michele, Cadence Doughman, and Chase Dean, and her granddaughters’ mother, Nicole Ostendorf.

Liz was raised in Tipp City, Ohio and was a devout member to the Tipp City Methodist Church of Little Classmates. And this day, many of her childhood friends have stayed very close, loving and supporting each other. In 1963 she moved to Piqua, Ohio and graduated from Piqua Central High School – enjoying many more friendships. In 1966, she graduated from Ohio State School of Cosmetology and went on to open her own salon in Enon, Ohio in 1979. She named her salon Pizzazz by Liz Hair Studio, which brought her many years of personal happiness and enjoyable memories with her clients and employees. She would still be enjoying these precious moments, if she did not become ill with pancreatic cancer. Elizabeth is also a lifetime member of the Briard Club of America. She raised several Briards that became grand champions; Lyra, Ferguson, Mabel, Ricki, Valentine, Ernie and Isabella. She will meet them all on the rainbow bridge. In lieu of flowers or donations, she requests, in her loving memory, that you do something kind for someone in need.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 3-5:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Burial of her urn will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.
