Obituary for Dena J. Bostick

DENA J. BOSTICK, 74, of Springfield, passed away in her home on Monday morning, November 6, 2017 following a lengthy illness. She was born in Springfield on November 4, 1943, the daughter of the late James Rhinehart and Odella Doyle. Dena retired from Community Hospital and will be best remembered for her time working at the information desk. She loved to write poetry and her family and enjoyed making people laugh.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 56 years, Ronald L. Bostick; son Ryan (Tiffany) Bostick; daughter-in-law, Lori Bostick; four grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathon (Sarah), Kashmir, and Ian; four great grandchildren, Madison, Sydnie, Nicholas, and Colin; four sisters, Rita, Sue, Shirley, and Charlene; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Ronald; a sister, Judy; and a brother, Nelson.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Dena’s funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Steve Wagoner officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
