Obituary for Barbara Eloise Morley

Barbara Eloise Morley, 83, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 in her home. She was born on June 23, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lawrence V. and Clara (Hysell) Soulsby. Barbara was a telephone operator for many years with Ohio Bell and later retired from AT&T in 1994. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, friends and playing cards. Barb was a loving person and was known for sending cards to many friends and acquaintances. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ed Morley, daughter Amy Morley of Springfield, son Edward C. (Christine) Morley Jr. of Texas, three grandchildren, Ladessa (Rob) Sturgill, Ryan Morley (Morgan Edmunds), and Grant Friedberg, one great granddaughter, Riley Sturgill, sister-in-law, Cindy (Earl) Kiger, and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia L. Speakmon. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 4-7:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where a celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will be in the Ferncliff Mausoleum.
