Thomas D. Rue, CFSP/ Owner / President
is a native of Fairborn, Ohio attending Fairborn Public Schools, Urbana University, University of Cincinnati and is a 1965 graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He has been an Ohio-Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1966. He has been employed in funeral homes in five different cities throughout central Ohio and since 1966 has been with the Littleton Funeral Home in Springfield. In 1973 he acquired part ownership in the company and in 1989, became sole owner and later changed the name to the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home. Tom is a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Past President of the Springfield Rotary Club and is active in many civic organizations in his community. He served as President of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association in 1985 - 86. Other activities include being a charter member and Past President of the Springfield Breakfast Lions Club. Tom is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce and previously served as a Directors and Chairman of the Convention and Visitors Bureau for a number of years, and a member of the Springfield City Schools Business Advisory Council.
was born in Hancock, Michigan, moved to Maysville Ky. at the age of 3, graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Maysville and attended Moorhead State University. She married Tom Rue in 1965 and became involved in the business in 1981 and presently serves as family service coordinator.
She is active in and past Trustee of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. She also is involved in many civic organizations to include, the Wittenberg University Guild, the Springfield Symphony and the Women's Association of the Springfield Symphony. She is also an accredited Master Gardener.
Lorann is the mother of Rob Rue and Nikki Rue Turner.
Rob Rue, CFSP / Funeral Director / Owner
graduated from Springfield North High School, Class of 1988. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Heidelberg College, a Bachelor of Mortuary Science from The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, and an Associate of Arts in Practical Ministry from the F.I.R.E. (Fellowship for International Revival and Evangelism) School of Ministry. Rob served apprenticeships in Middletown and Dayton, Ohio, and then joined Littleton & Rue in 1995.
In July of 2000 Rob left the company to complete 2 years of biblical training in Pensacola, Florida. In 2002, he returned to his family's business to serve the people of the Springfield and Clark County community. In January of 2004 Rob's father, Tom expanded family ownership and operations to his son and family friends Bill Hoelscher and Rob Kampman.
Rob is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nehemiah Foundation, graduate and Past President of Leadership Clark County, and a member of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce. Rob is a member of the Academy of Funeral Service Practice and is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP). He has served on committees for and is a past district officer with the Ohio Funeral Director's Association.
In August of 2009, Rob founded on behalf of Littleton & Rue a community awareness program called "LiveNow-Promoting an Active Lifestyle" (www.ilivenow.org). Through the plateform of his profession and influence as a community leader, Rob is passionate about the education and inspiration of encouraging people to live healthy.
On New Years Eve of 2002 Rob married his best friend Jenny (McNamara) Rue. They are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and fellowship with his church. Rob and Jenny have four children: Zach, Lydia, Brock, and Rachel Hannah.
Robert F. Kampman / Funeral Director / Owner
ROBERT F. "Rob" KAMPMAN, was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio, graduated from Catholic Central High School, attended Wright State University, and completed his degree at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He has been helping Springfield families in funeral service for over twenty years and joined Littleton & Rue in 1997.
Rob is active in a variety of civic organizations, including board member of the Springfield Rotary Club, Springfield Arts Council, board member of Catholic Central School, Catholic Social Services, Parish News, Knights of Columbus Council #624 and is a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.
He and his wife Missy (Lawson) have two daughters, Lauren and Emily, and two sons, Casey and Joseph.
Bill Hoelscher / Funeral Director / Owner
BILL HOELSCHER, born and raised in Ohio, Bill attended Ball State University and received his Bachelor of Mortuary Science degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Bill's management and experience in funeral service for over 8 years, his caring and knowledge have touched many families in the area.
Bill is a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Monsignor Buckley Assembly; a member of the Springfield Rotary Club, and a graduate of Leadership Clark County. Bill is active in the Clark Shawnee School District and is serving current on the Finance Committee. He is a member and Lieutenant of the Springfield Township Fire Department.
Bill and his wife, Patty, have triplet boys, Cameron, Bailey, and Lucas.
John P. Detling / Funeral Director
JOHN P. DETLING, Funeral Director, is a graduate from Northwestern High School, class of 1996. He began working at Littleton & Rue in 1997 as an assistant and has worked in every part of the funeral home operation. He later graduated from Clark State Community College and then graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2003. John has served families in Clark County as a funeral director for Littleton & Rue since 2004. He is a member of First Christian Church and enjoys coaching 6th grade boys basketball for Catholic Central. John is a lifelong Springfield resident and is the grandson of the late Judge Glenn E. Detling. He is engaged to be married to his fiancé Autumn. John serves the bereaved with great attention to detail. We are proud and grateful to have him a part of our team.
Tracy Colwell / Office Administrator
TRACY COLWELL, Office Administrator, began working at Littleton & Rue in 2007. Tracy is responsible for operation 
of the office and clerical detail. She is married to Rick Colwell and the mother of two children, Bret Nicolle and Brandon, and has two grandsons, Colton and Parker. She and Rick enjoy helping care for their family and riding Harley Davidsons.
Pam Baldridge / Continuing Care Coordinator
PAM BALDRIDGE, born and raised in Ohio, graduated from Morehead State University in 1972 with an A.B. Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Dayton in 1989 and spent the last 21 years of her 37.5 year educational career as a high school counselor at Springfield North High School and Springfield High School. Past work experiences also include Adjunct Professor for the University of Dayton’s Master’s Program in School Counseling and member of the Springfield City Schools Core Crisis Team.
Pam currently works for The Ohio State University Undergraduate Office of Admissions First-Year Experience as an outside application reader. She is also an active volunteer with the Clark County Breast Cancer Endowment Fund. Pam is passionate about providing guidance and support to patients dealing with this disease.
At Littleton & Rue, Pam serves as the Continuing Care Coordinator. She is a vital component of the “circle of service” provided to families going through a personal loss.
Pam and her husband, Larry, are members of First Christian Church. They are the parents of two grown children, Stephanie and Larry, and four grandchildren, Braden, Hannah, Sofie and Rhys. |
